LLS leadership development opportunities offer a semester-long student empowerment program centralized around four core themes: Mentorship, Empowerment, Service and Academic Success.
Generally, the Leadership Institute partners a small cohort of first-year Latine students with peer mentors and provides evidence-based workshops on social, academic and professional success.
Throughout the autumn semester, mentees will receive biweekly mentoring sessions with their upper-class mentor, semester academic success coaching, and partake in leadership development workshops. There will also be opportunities for students to participate in team-building activities, social gatherings, cultural events, study tables and more!
Workshop topics include:
- Leadership Development
- Academic Success
- Personal Growth
- Extracurricular Activities
- Cultural Diversity
- Post-College Preparation and Professional Development
