Gathering of Men
To foster and maintain campus unity among African American males, the Bell National Resource Center holds its annual "Gathering of Men." The event provides an opportunity for students, faculty, staff, and community professionals to network and fellowship with each other.
International Colloquium on Black Males in Education
The International Colloquium on Black Males in Education was co-founded in 2012 by Dr. Jerlando F. L. Jackson of the University of Wisconsin at Madison and Dr. James L. Moore III, executive director of the Bell National Resource Center on the African American Male.
National Black Male Retreat
The National Black Male Retreat promotes self-awareness, unity, academic motivation, leadership and manhood among a concentrated group of Black males. Students will be able to come together during the retreat and discuss relevant topics specific to their experiences in higher education.
Recognition Ceremony
The Recognition Ceremony acknowledges African American males who have persisted and experienced academic success. In addition, students, faculty/staff and community professionals are commended for their leadership and service to the African American male population at The Ohio State University and in the community.
