The purpose-driven Fostering Achievement Network (FAN) offers a unique educational experience for students with lived experience in foster care, kinship care or any out-of-home placement. FAN provides academic success coaching and support services to eliminate barriers to opportunities and intentional support for students to reach their full potential. The twenty students accepted in FAN will be invited to participate in the FAN EAP and receive resources and guidance as they transition to becoming a Buckeye.

Eligibility Requirements
- Identify as someone with lived experience in foster care, kinship care or any out-of-home placement.
- Must enroll in at least six semester hours at The Ohio State University, Columbus campus.

FAN Early Arrival Program
The FAN EAP helps students transition to the Ohio State Columbus campus by providing educational and resource workshops, presentations and team-building activities before the start of the school year.

To help FAN Scholars navigate Ohio State and community resources, FAN has a TAY AmeriCorps Peer Resource Navigator.
