BNRC Early Arrival Program

First year students who participate in the EAP learn about resources and strategies to help them to succeed in college and to develop strong leadership and professional skills. To further assist them with adjusting to the rigorous academic environment of Ohio State, EAP students attend workshops and presentations on priority management, development of peer and professional relationships, the importance of asking for help and how to access and utilize resources.

Students also learn to manage challenges or misconceptions they may encounter and are encouraged to see the diversity within their peer group, expand their boundaries and find the commonalities in other participants' experiences.

Learning from current students, EAP participants are given the tools, drive, resources and support to immediately pursue and actively engage in achieving academic excellence and obtaining their future career goals. Their time at Ohio State begins with meaningful connections with other EAP students and with the knowledge of all the resources available through the BNRC, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the university.
