ODI is proud to announce that during the 2025 Focusing on the First Year Conference, MSP Assistant Director Donya Gibson received the Outstanding First Year Advocate Award. This award is presented to passionate individuals who:
- Demonstrate a commitment to helping first year students succeed in academic, co-curricular, and personal arenas
- Collaborate with colleagues across campus to build relationships with new students and implement policies or programs that positively impact first-year students
- Utilize innovative practices to engage students and contribute to first-year student learning
- Seeks to recognize multiple aspects of the first-year experience and develop students in a holistic manner
