ODI Scholars Bobby McAlpine (MSP) and Justin Robinson (YSP) are part of the 57th Assembly of The Ohio State University's Undergraduate Student Government (USG). Bobby McAlpine serves as the USG incumbent President while Justin Robinson is the newly-elected Vice President.

September 21 is National Dance Day, a day that Anastasia Allison celebrates all year long.
Experts say exercising can change the trajectory of someone’s day. For Anastasia Allison, however, exercise has done something more: It’s altered the course of her Buckeye journey.
Now a fourth-year ODI Scholar (MSP) majoring in visual communication design and minoring in public health, Allison faced a tenuous first year at The Ohio State University, leading her to turn to group fitness.

Scholars and sisters: Twins accepted to Morrill Scholars Program for Autumn 2024
Twin sisters Cristina and Isabela Reina have always strived to do everything together—classes, extracurriculars, and even summer camps. Now, they’re taking it a step further, both heading to The Ohio State University as neuroscience majors and Morrill Scholars.
“My sister and I are like best friends, so we’re really happy we can stay together and go to Ohio State with this amazing opportunity,” Cristina explained.

MSP scholars serve Washington DC’s food deserts on Alternative Spring Break Program
For many Ohio State students, Spring Break is a time for kicking back, but over two dozen Morrill Scholars chose to spend their Spring Break by giving back. The students traveled to Washington DC through MSP’s Alternative Spring Break Program, where they volunteered with local organizations increasing food access in areas around the capital.

ODI and First-Gen Pre-PA Scholars encourage third-graders to seek careers in medicine during Ohio State visit
Four dozen third-graders wrapped splints, tried CPR chest compressions, listened through stethoscopes, and were read aloud the "Medical School for Kids" children's book series as ODI Morrill Scholars and First-Gen Pre-PA Scholars welcomed them to campus to spark career interests in medicine.
The November visit from third-graders from Eakin Elementary, a West Side Columbus Public school, was the brainchild of Tiffany Nguyen, who organized the event along with her student group, First-Gen Pre-Physician Assistant Group.

An invitation into a vice provost's office became surprising only when he found out it was to honor him with a Distinguished Diversity Enhancement Award.
