Ohio State is once again partnering with the non-profit Latino Arts for Humanity to celebrate Day of the Dead with the Columbus community. This festival is an educational, cultural and family event to remember and celebrate our loved ones who are no longer with us. It is also a great opportunity to engage with and support the local Latinx community
There will be ofrendas (altar offerings), calaveritas literarias, traditional food vendors, live music with local bands and musicians, educational activities for all ages, local arts exhibition, arts and crafts vendors, a Catrina costume contest, community parade and much more! The event is free and open to the public. There will be a free bus running to and from Ohio Union to the cemetery throughout the day, but you can also drive and park on your own.
Sponsored by the Latinx Studies Program, the Center for Ethnic Studies, the Department of Spanish and Portuguese and the Humanities Institute.
