The Office of Diversity and Inclusion congratulates Yolanda Zepeda, interim vice provost for diversity and inclusion, who has been honored with the Central Ohio 2024 Social Justice Award for Education Advocacy.
The Social Justice Awards is an annual event that honors those whose work and show leadership in Community Service, Education Advocacy, Legal Advocacy, Public Service, Law Enforcement, Healthcare, Restorative Justice, and Youth Justice. This year’s event is sponsored by the Think Make Live Youth Board of Directors, a community nonprofit organization that focuses on youth empowerment.
Said Zepeda of the award, “It is an honor to be counted among such dedicated and generous leaders. We are all working toward a more caring community, and in the strength of our bonds, to lift the quality of life for all central Ohioans. I am grateful to Think Make Life and Terry Nunny Green for bringing us together as we reaffirm our commitments to one another.”
Zepeda will be honored at an award luncheon at the Greater Columbus Convention Center on Friday, September 27, 2024. The event will be moderated by local WSYX ABC6 News anchors Rodney Dunigan and Stacia Naquin.
