What was your path to graduation at The Ohio State University?
I earned a degree in political science. I was first interested in law because of a family friend who was a lawyer. Later, I stayed in political science due to my interest and affinity for global issues.
Why do you support the Office of Diversity and Inclusion?
I wasn't involved with ODI when I was a student, but now I want to pay it forward. As a white male, I also want to give flight to voices and ideas from those who don't look like me.
What do you do now?
I'm a senior director of financial planning and analysis at Verizon. I'm currently responsible for business transformation within the business strategy organization at my company.
What is your advice for current students?
Volunteer for challenging projects at school and work. You will learn more, but more importantly, you will develop the confidence to blaze your own path. You will also develop connections that will help you along the way.
