LASER

Dr. Theresa Rojas, founding member of LASER, just received tenure at Modesto State College.

Anthony Palmiscno received the Graduate Associate Teaching Award, Ohio State's highest recognition of the exceptional teaching provided to graduate students. Ten winners are selected each year.

Cristina Rivera passed her Candidacy Exams in English and presented “Is Miles Spiderman? The Negotiation of Brown Power in Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse” at the International Society for the Study of Narrative Conference, New Orleans.

Danielle Orozco passed her Candidacy Exams in English and presented “#Untying Undocu-Narratives in 21st Century TV” at the International Society for the Study of Narrative Conference, New Orleans.

Frances Avila-Soto, a Morrill Scholar and ODI tutor, was offered a full tuition scholarship to medical school at Washington University in St. Louis.

YSP

Lailah Carrion was awarded the Alga D. "Peg" Weaver Honor Scholarship from the College of Education and Human Ecology.

Leslie Luna, a recent Ohio State graduate, YSP Alumna, and Success Coach has recently been awarded a Graduate Enrichment Fellowship for the Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy program at Ohio State.

Faith Lewis, a graduating senior in Spring 2020 has been accepted to graduate school at The Ohio State University College of Public Health and has also been awarded a fellowship.
