Statement from Dr. James L. Moore III Vice Provost for Diversity and Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer on the death of Mr. Bill Myles
It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Mr. Bill Myles, a trailblazing football coach and athletics administrator at The Ohio State University. As one of Ohio State's first Black assistant coaches, Myles was in charge of recruiting and responsible for giving hundreds of young men the opportunity for higher education, honoring our rich, land-grant tradition. Later, Myles would serve honorably and ably for more than two decades as an associate athletics director. In the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, we send our deepest regrets to the Myles family for the loss of their beloved family member.
