MSP hosts first Meet and Greet Mixer

On Tuesday, January 26, 2016 the Morrill Scholars Program hosted a Meet and Greet Mixer for neuroscience majors as a way to connect students in the quickly-growing field. The Scholars talked with each other about why they chose the neuroscience major, the research they’ve conducted, and their various intended career paths over pizza and beverages. Morgan Morrison, a second-year Morrill Scholar from Jacksonville, Florida is “interested in neuroscience because it tells us about the origins of the inner human workings.” Scholars enjoyed meeting other Buckeyes with the same academic interests for support and encouragement. The mixer ended when four participants won $25 gift cards from various local establishments.

Thanks to everyone who attended!

The next MSP Diversity Organizations Meet and Greet Mixer will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. in the MLK Lounge, Hale Hall.
