Morrill Scholars EAP Hosts

The purpose of the Morrill Scholars Early Arrival Program (MSEAP) is to help our incoming Morrill Scholars, who are not from Columbus, get acclimated on Ohio State's campus and the city of Columbus as well as provide the opportunity to meet other ODI Scholars before the rest of the first-year students come to campus. In order to make this program a success, we need current Morrill Scholars to serve as Hosts who will bring an array of talents and skills. As Hosts, the requirements and responsibilities are:

  • Create, lead, and partake in activities to create connections among Morrill Scholars
  • Welcome Scholars into the ODI and MSP communities
  • Serve as a guide or mentor for incoming freshman
  • Encourage ways to get involved with MSP

The application deadline for the MSEAP Hosts has passed. Please check back in May to complete the next Morrill Scholars Early Arrival Program Host application. We will be seeking 10-12 second, third and fourth-year Morrill Scholars to serve as hosts for the Morrill Scholars Early Arrival Program. We hope to build a team of Hosts from all MSP scholarship levels who have been involved with ODI and have a love for OSU and Columbus.

To be eligible to apply, you must be in good standing with your scholarship (meeting the minimum CGPA requirement) and submit the application by the posted deadline. The application will be used to assist a committee of ODI staff in making selections. Scholars who served as MSEAP Hosts in the past must compete for future positions.

MSP Student Leaders

Each student leader will be assigned up to five first year Scholars to mentor in addition to participating in their assigned team. As a group, student leaders will be required to plan, develop, and implement at least one program during the academic year.

Sophomores and above will be notified via email about the application process to become a student leader.
