James L. Moore III to sit on Institute for Higher Education Policy board
Dr. James L. Moore III, vice provost for diversity and inclusion and chief diversity officer, has been selected as a new board member for 2020 by the Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP), an influential nonprofit dedicated to higher education access and success for all students.
“I hope to bring my expertise as an educational researcher and someone who leads an office offering access and evidence-based models of success for students attending one of the nation's premier public universities,” Moore said. “I'm excited to have broad impact on educational policy side of the equation with IHEP.”
Based in Washington, D.C., IHEP has developed innovative policy-and-practice-orientated research to guide policymakers and education leaders since 1993. A leading voice championing access and success, IHEP is committed to equality of opportunity for all and helps low-income, minority and other historically underrepresented populations gain access to and achieve success in higher education.
Moore's 3-year term as IHEP board member will begin in early December. He is one of five new board members selected by IHEP.
