The Tri-P Mentoring Kick Off took place on Monday, August 28, 2017. At this event, our first year mentees had the opportunity to meet their upperclassman mentors for the first time! We had over 70 students in attendance at this year’s event.

The Post-Baccalaureate Preparation Program (Tri-P) assists in preparing students for an appropriate post-baccalaureate option: graduate school, professional school or direct entry into the workforce.
- Provide services and referral of information related to post-baccalaureate preparation
- Match students with mentors from similar academic/professional backgrounds
- Collaborate with other university departments to facilitate programming for participants
- Become a one-stop source for references related to graduate/professional school, and workforce entry
Mentoring Team Matching
Students will have the opportunity to be assigned to either a peer or a professional mentor. Some peer mentors may receive mentoring from professional mentors.
Undergraduate students, including the targeted population of Office of Diversity and Inclusion students (African American, Appalachian American, Asian American, Hispanic American, Native American)
Undergraduate students with junior or senior standing, or sophomores who participated in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion TriP as a freshman
Graduated and professional students; community professionals
