At the end of each academic year, the Frank W. Hale Jr. Black Cultural Center, Office of Student Life, National Pan-Hellenic Council, Ohio State Alumni Association, and the Multicultural Center sponsor this event to acknowledge students who have matriculated from The Ohio State University, celebrating the many achievements of African American students.
In addition to the formal recognition of students, Ms. Stephanie Hightower, President/CEO of the Columbus Urban League and former All-American student athlete in track at Ohio State, will deliver a keynote address targeted to the challenges and aspirations of the new graduates.
This year there also will be another special feature. If you are retiring and/or know of someone that is retiring, please attend the celebration to be recognized as a part of this special ceremony. Depending on the number of retirees, they will be acknowledged during the celebration ceremony. Please send any retirees' names and area of employment to Larry Williamson, Jr., (Williamson.firstname.lastname@example.org) by May 2nd.
