The Frank W. Hale, Jr.
Civil Rights Library

Frank W. Hale and President Johnson

The Frank W. Hale, Jr. Civil Rights Library consists of items donated to the Office of Diversity and Inclusion’s Hale Black Cultural Center in June 2011 by Dr. Hale. Comprised of Dr. Hale’s most precious possessions, the collection includes awards, letters, trophies, plaques, books, diplomas and special artifacts collected directly by Dr. Hale.

Currently, items in the collection are being catalogued. Once that process is finished, materials will be available for scholars to use in their research.

The Hale Center gratefully acknowledges the Hale family for allowing the center to preserve Dr. Hale’s legacy.
