Tutorial Services & Study Skills

Program Purpose

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Tutoring Program, provides free supplemental programs and services to support the academic success of students served by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and enrolled at The Ohio State University, Columbus campus.

Tutorial Services

One on one or small group tutoring is available for many lower level general education courses autumn, winter, spring, and summer quarters. Students registered for classes at The Ohio State University’s Columbus campus may register for tutoring and request as needed tutoring appointments via the Tutoring Program’s web-based scheduling system.  Scheduling priority is given to students funded by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.

For additional information regarding the tutoring program, contact Armada M. Henderson, Tutoring Program Manager, by phone (614)292-0964 or email odi-tutor@osu.edu.

Study Skills Program

Tutoring program staff has developed interactive workshops covering a variety of topics including learning styles, time management, note taking, reading skills, and test taking strategies.  Study skills workshops are conducted for student groups by request only. Students may also meet with program staff for individualized study skills assistance. Additional study skills materials and web links can be accessed on the webpage under “Resources” by clicking the Study Skills Resource link.

To arrange a study skills workshop for your student group or establish an appointment for individualized study skills assistance, contact tutoring program staff via e-mail at odi-tutor@osu.edu.

Study and Review Materials

Tutorial Services maintains a collection study materials donated to the office by university students. Students may request resources online by accessing the Study and Review Materials link under “Resources.”  A submission form is also available for students who wish to donate materials to the Tutoring Program.
